Valerie's Orchard a film by Nick Breakspear

Valerie

Valerie's Orchard is the compelling new film of the life of 88 year old Hungarian, Valerie, who amazingly survived the horror of the holocaust. 60 years on and living in Israel, her story is revealed through her art.

Auschwitz-Birkenhau and the infamous 'Death March' have become synonymous with the depravity of man, yet through this Valerie emerged where many did not.
This Biopic is a modern telling of a hard to believe journey. Frank conversations recalling difficult days, seasoned with dramatic episodes of a dark reality bring her story to life and to you.

The Tree Project

The Orchard

An exciting development from the film is the establishment of Valerie’s Orchard in the Negev Desert, a place where hundreds of Olive Trees are to be planted. The motive behind this planting is to honour our friend Valerie who sixty years ago, was shown such dishonour as a human being during the Holocaust.
