Corro-gated a film by Nick Breakspear & Paul Coppack

The film formed part of the” Walking through Windows” art installation/promenading play at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, drawing their inspiration from the life of Agnes Jones. Agnes, was Liverpool’s first paid nurse, known as the `Angel of Mercy` a title bestowed for her compassionate work amongst the city’s poor.
Corro-gated takes a contemporary glance into our vulnerable world – particularly those who have been literally “boxed out of society” discarded like so much un-recycled packaging.

As the chorus in the Corro-gated soundtrack puts it-
This is someone’s house
This is someone’s bed
This is someone’s nice and neatly packaged wilderness……it’s a BOX!

Corro-gated asks the viewer to re-consider what it would be like to have their individual roles re-versed; whilst offering encouragement through the lives of such history changers as Agnes Jones - truly a contender for the Good Samaritan awards. Another strong thread throughout the film is Tom a “Big Issue vendor” all he wants is to earn - Not just cash - but respect - a commodity in short supply on our UK streets.
The producers would like to extend their deep gratitude to “Big Issue NORTH” for their kind assistance and support in the making of this film.
